Rachel was born and raised in Scotland. A graduate of psychology, she now resides in South Korea. She has dabbled in teaching children, but after a few blessed years has succumbed to teaching business English to adults in Seoul.

Rachel has been writing stories for as long as she can remember. An obsession with Point Horror books led to her first novel being written at the age of ten. Truth be told, it wasn’t very good.

The following years were spent reading thrillers, romantic comedies, fantasies, occasionally playing guitar, and dabbling in songwriting, all the while continuing to write stories unworthy for print and developing her own style.

A mixture of inspiring authors had a huge influence upon her mind: S. E. Hinton, Mario Puzo, William Goldman, C.S Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien, Neil Gaiman, J. K. Rowling … the list goes on.
For years, Rachel has cited The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton as her favourite book. These days, she considers The Princess Bride by William Goldman to be at the top of the list.

THE SECOND BOOK IN THE SERIES

NEVER WISH UPON A STAR. IT MIGHT GET YOU CURSED.
    One wish on the stars.
    A group of unusual suitors.
A quest to end a curse.

The three kingdoms are in need of help. War is brewing, and the faelti are ready to take everything.

Abigail Crumble was only seeking to right the wrongs of her wish when she set out to find Levana, Watcher of the Night Sky. The last thing she expected was to stumble into the path of the faelti, fae-like creatures with a thirst for power and the ability to manipulate fire.

Separated from her friends and believing them dead, trapped in the faelti camp and held hostage by the evil Kai Sisu, Abigail is no closer to reaching Levana’s dwelling and breaking the curse than she was the day she left her hometown.

As the threat to the three kingdoms grows, and past secrets begin to unravel, Abigail makes discoveries that force her deeper into a fight she’s not ready for.

Can Abigail take on the role she was born to have?

Can she put aside her own dreams for the lives of others?

    Only the stars will tell…

Action-packed and full of intrigue, The Faelti continues the tale of one girl’s quest to rid herself of a curse turning into a journey to save a kingdom.
