    Connie Cockrell

I’m Connie Cockrell and I write in multiple genres. Please check the menu above for Mystery/Suspense and Fantasy to see more of my books.

A 20-year Air Force career, time as a manager at a computer operations company, wife, mother, sister and volunteer, provides a rich background for Connie Cockrell’s story-telling.

Cockrell grew up in upstate NY, just outside of Gloversville, NY before she joined the military at age 18. Having lived in Europe, Great Britain, and several places around the United States, she now lives in Payson, AZ with her husband: hiking, gardening, and playing bunko. She writes about whatever comes into her head so her books could be in any genre. She’s published twenty books so far, has been included in five different anthologies and been published on and Connie’s always on the lookout for a good story idea. Beware, you may be the next one.

As always, you can find me at where I have a Books and Other Products tab with all of my spin off products and my books with multiple buy links to all of the retailers where I sell my books.

So, now to my Scfi books.

I have two series and one book in a third series. In the interest of space, I’ll list the first book in each series. You can find all of them at your vendor of choice.

The Gulliver Station series has four books and is complete.

A New Start, book one in the series.

Gulliver Station is brand new and being populated primarily with Old Earth Irish.  Fergus Boylan, the Provisional Station Manager, wants to leave the old, corrupt Ireland behind and make station life fair for all of its residents.  Conway Gillespie sees a chance to start his own crime family and rule the station like his old boss on Earth.  The new residents want a fresh start, free from corruption and violence, that’s why they volunteered to colonize the station.  Who will win this tug of wills?

The Brown Rain series, four books so far.

First Encounter, book 1 in the series.

It began with a mysterious brown rain, killing everything it touched.

Seventeen years ago the brown rain started falling, bringing with it destruction, death, and collapse. Then, as suddenly as it appeared, it stopped.

A surviving community sends out into a desolate world, two young women to search for other survivors. Between Alyssa’s unique power and Kyra’s roguish skills, they have a better chance of success than most.

They find an outside world surrounding itself with a veneer of civility but steeped in secrets. Some may be slightly less human than they could ever expect.

The Zoe Ohale series has only one book so far but more are coming!

Troubled Streets, Book 1 in the Zoe Ohale series

On the streets of Baia Mare, the orphans roam free and the good citizens of the city look the other way.

For Zoe Ohale, life on the streets is hard. Maybe too hard. She is one of the lucky few in the gang to have a place to lay her head, but for the rest an old abandoned warehouse is the best they can hope for to keep out of the rain.

Zoe has debts to pay. On the one side, the Lees are pressuring her to be an informant; on the other, the criminal underworld threatens to swallow her whole. But Zoe would do anything for her gang of orphans, so she shuts up and straddles the line of loyalty between night and day, always teetering on the edge.

But when a new gang of credit thieves comes to Baia Mare, everything is thrown into disarray, and Zoe’s precarious balance starts to crumble. With lies, kidnapping, corruption and even worse in the mix, the city is bound for a descent into anarchy.

Will Zoe find a way to help right a few wrongs? Or will she be the one who ends up needing help?
